PHP Ledger is open source. Maintenance has stopped for lack of funds.
PHP Ledger stays yours to use: it is double-entry accounting with a cash point of sale that you can host yourself, released under the GNU AGPL-3.0-or-later (the 0.1.x previews are under MIT). It needs no licence key and no subscription, and you may run it, study it and fork it under that licence. PHP Ledger 1.4.7, from September 2026, is the latest release; the source code and the installable package are on the 1.4.7 release page.
No further updates or fixes are planned until the work is funded.

- Funding goes to Bixisoft, a private company, not a charity. Contributions are not charitable gifts, and in most countries they are not tax-deductible.
- Funding does not buy shares, ownership or exclusive rights. The work it pays for is released to everyone under the AGPL-3.0.
- Contributions are not refundable.

Will 1.4.7 keep working?
Yes. It runs on your own server as it does today. No further updates or fixes are planned until the work is funded, so keep your server and PHP patched and keep tested backups of your data.
Can I fork it?
Yes, under the GNU AGPL-3.0-or-later (the 0.1.x previews remain under MIT). The name "PHP Ledger" and its logos are trademarks of Bixisoft and are not licensed for your fork.
Where do I report a problem?
PHP Ledger is not currently maintained, so we cannot promise a fix. Serious security reports may still go to rmak78@gmail.com.
Will there be new versions?
Yes, once the year of work is funded. New versions will be open source under the AGPL-3.0.
