PHP Ledger 0.6.0-preview: a rebuilt accounting workspace
A focused Home, compact registers and reviewed document editors bring daily work and its accounting evidence into the same workspace.
This release rebuilds the PHP-rendered interface with a warm light canvas, navy actions, local Inter fonts, a workspace sidebar and company switcher. It remains a development preview for evaluation with sample data.
What changed in daily work?
- Home brings quick actions, work needing attention, cash and amounts due together.
- Search or jump to and quick-create navigation help you reach the next task.
- Registers use searchable, sortable lists with 25, 50 or 100 rows per page. Filters remain in the URL.
- Invoice and bill editors start with one line, show exact totals and separate draft saving from posting review.
- Corrections retain document identity through reviewed reversal and replacement entries.
What changed in accounting review?
One settlement can allocate across multiple open items atomically. Foreign-exchange gain/loss fields are required when applicable. Stock-count and goods-receipt previews, linked purchasing context and supplier return guidance clarify the review steps. Profit and loss adds cost-of-sales classification, gross profit and period presets. Existing unclassified charts preserve their prior net-profit calculations.
What remains unfinished?
Desktop and tablet are the design targets. Mobile refinement and dark mode are deferred. Complete visual and accessibility acceptance, consistent field-level validation recovery and the full nested report/source/action return journey remain unfinished. No WCAG certification, accounting sign-off, country compliance or production-readiness claim is made.

- Compare those screens with your own expected workflow before considering real books.
Download and upgrade deliberately
The download page includes the application archive, checksum and matching release media kit. Compiled CSS and production dependencies are included; Node is not required on the server. Upgrade from 0.5.0-preview uses migrations 029–031. Follow the packaged UPGRADE.md, stop writes and rehearse a matched code/database restore first.
These website screenshots are fresh local captures of the 0.6.0 interface using isolated sample books. They do not replace or change the published release archive or its media kit. See the versioned GitHub release for its verification record.
