PHP Ledger 1.4.1: consistent dates and clearer forms
A focused patch for entering dates, choosing valid invoice accounts, and understanding what a form or sample setup needs.
One date selector across your books
Type DD/MM/YYYY or open the calendar and move between years, months and days. The selector works across editable date fields, including report filters and added rows. Existing accounting dates remain unchanged, and the server still validates them. Without JavaScript, the native date input remains available.
Catch mistakes earlier
Employee birth dates cannot be in the future or after the hire date. Invoice and bill line selectors offer active, eligible posting accounts; server checks reject invalid or stale choices before accepting a preview or draft. Required fields are more clearly identified in employee, invoice, payroll and recurring-plan forms.
Clearer setup and phone screens
Sample completion distinguishes fictional history from an empty structure and reports the current posted journals and drafts. Receipts and Expenses have separate sidebar entries, while older combined transaction links keep working. Cash warnings and transaction details fit narrow screens more comfortably.
Upgrade and review boundaries
This patch adds no database migration and carries no media kit. Follow the supplied upgrade instructions and keep a matched backup. The ten additional company journeys remain unfinished; independent accounting, security and complete accessibility reviews remain separate acceptance work.
